Looking for ideas for Thanksgiving dinner? If you plan on hosting Thanksgiving this year, either with friends, family, neighbors, or any above, can be a bit overwhelmed by what to do for dinner. Although the food is not the only thing Thanksgiving (meets with family and friends, going out, do crafts, jumping in leaf piles in autumn color, seeking the "Big Game" and Thanksgiving prayers and poems), is undoubtedly a big part of it. After all, for many, the term "Thanksgiving" conjures up images of juicy turkey with stuffing, fresh cranberry sauce and melted in the mouth of her cake pumpkin.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving dinners were involved turkey, stuffing, a potato or a bowl of sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Instead of speaking strictly traditional (stick with the basics and tried without extras or add-ons) or completely original (avoiding the traditional menu complete, this disappointed and may even offend some people in your group), try "tweaking" some of the favorites to make a little more unique and exciting without departing from the basic menu too.
One thing you can do to start everything off is to serve drinks and snacks. This is generally not considered a tradition of Thanksgiving, as part of Thanksgiving dinner for many families, but who says no one can start your own group? You you can try the biscuits and cheese with a cheese ball decorated like a turkey to live and serve hot apple cider with cinnamon ( "doped" with liquor for the adults), wine, and dark red or orange fruit punch for kids.
You can stick with Turkey as a main dish for dinner, but if it does Crank It Up is one notch with spices, orange juice and lemon flavors, liqueur, cranberries and nuts, or anything else you can think of to complement your turkey. Great alternative for Turkey are the roast chicken herbs, roasted ham with pineapple, or a succulent roast beef au jus.
Turn regular cranberry sauce on a fruit mixture by adding the berries (raspberries) or other fruits complementary. For starch "Thanksgiving dinner, you can try regular skin mashed potatoes with mixed herbs, spices, onions, bacon, cheese and juice turkey, potatoes or baked potatoes stuffed with marshmallows baked sweet mini-coated with brown sugar and nuts. Add some vegetables their hot meals, such as broccoli with cheese or vegetables mixed with herbs. Instead of sticking to traditional salad or Caesar salad roll, mix a little by adding a combination of blueberries, strawberries, nuts, seeds, raisins, red onion, shredded carrots or cheese sprinkled with your vegetables with a rich balsamic vinaigrette dressing sweet.
You should not bake a pumpkin pie for dessert, but it certainly can. Apple pie with cinnamon, spice is an excellent alternative is that rhubarb pie (or rhubarb and strawberry cake), cheesecake normal hot fudge and nuts sprinkled on top of the pumpkin cheesecake, pies mini pumpkin pie, cake spiced carrot with cream cheese, muffins or carrot. By adding a little variety, you can turn favorite foods into extraordinary delights of all dinners Thanksgiving to come.
